Thing to remember is that having a small engine doesnt always guarantee being at the lower end of the insurance spectrum.

I know that insurance on saxo's is often disproportionate to other cars with the same cc.

Insurers look at statistics when underwriting and the Citroen Saxo is a top choice of the IQ-Challenged boy-racer so as a result, sensible youngsters will be penalised by the statistics of morons who have stuffed saxo's.

Thanks i think ill avoid the Saxo's then. Fiesta seems like the most likely bet at the moment. Now just have to try and pick a winner
