The od dthing at our place is that everyone wants to play at home but few want to play away.

I've never come across this before. It's always the opposite , as most people want a cheap game at another course. I've done all the friendly teams and the scratch teams and the interclub h/c affairs etc. I also had loads of regular partners who were seniors and they all said the same thing too. Strange really. Perhaps there's not a great team spirit going on at your place.
