Tops , duffs , pulls etc

Out this morning for the 3rd time this year......once a week doesn't work for me ar all, I'm a 4 or 5 times a week kinda guy...
Hit the bogey train hard on the front 9.....finished 7 over with 2 pars......
Back o was better, a lot better.
We came in after 16 as the aroma of breakfast proved to enticing and the cold wind was kicking up...
To be fair, CVG's hip was starting to sing and my heel was grumbling so it was an easy decision.
I'd got to 30 points from the 16 played.....I'll take that....Just 1 over for the back 7....
The heel is not happy right now...let's hope it sorts itself out for Wednesday...may get the first full round since before Xmas under my belt.
We are shut as well. Bit annoying as it’s actually a nice day for a change, perfect for a game of golf, but the course took a right soaking yesterday.Thankfully booked in to play tomorrow as the course is shut today although looking at the forecast I think it’s going to rain all night again so might not be getting out.
Feels like it’s rained for 10 days straight, starting to feel like a couple of years ago when it rained for a month and everywhere was drenched.
I'll be surprised if there are any courses in the area that are open with the amount of rain we've had over the last 10 days or so. Maybe South Shields? Ours was starting to get the big pools of water at the bottom of the 6th and between the 7th and 8th fairways again, like 2 years ago.We are shut as well. Seaham is open, the drainage work we had done a couple of years back is really working well, a couple of puddles on 11th & 12th, but everywhere else is pleasantly surprising.I'll be surprised if there are any courses in the area that are open with the amount of rain we've had over the last 10 days or so.
