I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

Played 16 on me todd this afternoon.....carrying a halfish set...including my new putter....
Played well, 2 or 3 over par and the putter works very well.
Got the feel and the pace sorted very quickly
First shot with it was a 20 foot left to righter slightly uphill..
Lagged to 3 inches - that'll do!

What magic putter do you have now?

It cleared up enough to go and play yesterday. Went for a solo round. Started, birdie, birdie, par, birdie. Missed out 12/13/14/15 as it was getting very boggy and I'd have got stuck behind four groups of coffin dodgers playing for the town hall clock. Birdied 17 after having to play down the 18th after a wild tee shot. So all in all four birdies in, not even a full round. Shoes soaked and not fit to use for a few days. They are now sitting in front of the unlit fire. Not sure if they will be there when it gets lit.

Walked back nine with my regular partners. Not played for seven weeks due to holiday in Spain over Xmas and New Year, and also to tear in my knee from playing padel.:(

Forgotten how good the sausage rolls are at the halfway hut. Course looked stunning in the winter sun. Greens best I have seen them in winter, and alterations to the course looking good. Bloody knee.

Just played out Monthly Medal and shot 3 over par 75 in very hot conditions, handicap has moved from 4 back to 3.

Next week I am playing away and the forecast is for 42C.......

3-person Winter Texas Scramble - 6 tee shots from each player to include a par 3 and a par 5.
We shot gross par 71 (net 65) and lost on countback.
It's definitely my favourite format of competitive fun-time golf. Hero shots mandatory.

After 3 and a half years at LB, and a couple of close calls, I finally broke 80 at the course.

2 over after 9 with 3 bogeys and 1 birdie.

6 over on the back and it really was stupid shots that cost me, but I made two very good up and downs for par on 17 and 18 to close it out.

The drills I've been doing at home along with the speed stick work really are paying off.

Excellent, well done.

Great finish after the 16th.

Due to the rubbish recent weather only the 5th time out with my new T150s and TSR3 since I picked them up on the 1st December. Still getting used to the different sound of the TSR3 compared to my 11 year old 910, sounds less harsh. Probably going about 10 yards further through the air (about 250 carry) on a slightly lower trajectory so will be good to see how it goes when the ground firms up. Used it 12 times yesterday and only missed one fairway 😁 I think we are going to have a good relationship 😍
