I might be about to achieve a lifetime golfing ambition

To me, links golf is what it's all about and this week I have sent off an application form to join my first ever links course. I live 52 miles from the course and they have introduced a country membership if you live more than 50 miles away. But the good thing is it is only 24 miles and 35 mins from my office.

It would be rude of me not to join

Got there in the end. Played it on a reciprocal, but it was a dead calm day, so no teeth. Definitely up for a game, as I love links golf.

Why not.

The first links i was a member at and still is is Tain, its 35 miles from home and well worth the drive.

I find as its a fair way from my home course Nairn, it has differnt weather a lot of the time.

Also found playing at a links when i first started made me a better golfer, i feel now i can take my game anywhere, unless i've a dose of the shermans that is.

Yeah staying at Broadstone. One of the country membership rules at Hayling is it has to be your 2nd club. I'll chase Andy up over the weekend and let you know about August.
