Yes I just had to get the Yes Valerie putter. I was just getting ready to go out to play the monthly mid week medal and while looking through the pros shop there it was.
I went and gave it a go, not too bad and I was going to hand it back or maybe try another to pass the time when I seen the name on the back “Valerieâ€, my good ladies name. I couldn’t put it back; I just had to buy it.
So, single putt the first for a birdie, 15 footer to save par at the 3rd, 4 footer for birdie at the 5th and a single putt for a birdie at the par 5 9th after being in the bunker off the tee. Out in 35 with a double bogie 6 (in the trees) at the 7th. I like this game.
Couldn’t buy a golf shot in the back 9. In fact, after a pulled tee shot at the 18th I played my best shot of the day having to hit the ball out right, drawing it back to find the middle of the green with a 3 iron.
76 blows and what could have been. Anyway, now Val knows I’ve got it, I’ll need to use it.
