I now get his hybrid handed down to me (I know,,, it's supposed to be the other way round.. )

I'm happy with the deal tbh, whenever I've hit hid hybrid I've hit it well, and it's definitely an upgrade on my old Ben Sayers one.

Callaway Quantum Max OS 6 hybrid.

Purchased whilst stood in the middle of our 8th fairway, after topping my Elyte 5 hybrid into the pond short of the green.

Was the last straw as it seems to be a club that after 6 months i just dont know what sort of swing im going to put on it.

Not much difference in loft between the old 5 and new 6....Im playing the 5 at 25 degrees and the Quantum 6H's natural loft is 26.

...and before folk have a go about me holding up groups behind....it was millionaires golf today....teed off at 1.15...no one out in front of me for an hour, no one behind me for 45 minutes.

3.5hrs for the round which included a couple of lazy 15 minute breaks sat on benches soaking up the sun.

I am a bit anxious as I had a properly dreadful time with the G430 Max; I couldn't hit it, or when I did, either just about 200-yard max carry or huge left-to-right monsters. Hopefully, the G430 SFT is a different beast , and I am liking the idea of the kai'li white with a ping head, to keep the spin down a tad. anyways fingers crossed

So hit a few balls with the g430 sft today. I think it's a keeper, but we'll see after tomorrow's round of golf. I added 6grams more into the Draw+ weight and changed the lie to flat and kept it at 10.5

Very similar to what happened when I tried the Ping G430 Max - Ping loses 15+ yards carry on the stealth, but this time the Ping SFT hardly had/ if any misses right - although I had trouble hitting most of the shots on the heel with the Ping, started to get a bit better when I stood further away from the ball.

Why did you add more weight to it before even using it? The likely result of that is adding height and losing distance.

I hit about 25 balls with the 22g weight, and when I put in the 28g weight, it just felt a bit more stable so left it as that, but I guess while also adding weight, it's also put the spin up a bit too, which putting the driver down to 9 degrees id get a bit more distance, but i hit the sweetspot whilst in 10.5

But now I'm thinking just to put it back to 22g and normal big O setting and make some subtle changes if needed tomorrow, with real golf balls and off a tee on grass

Just ordered Cleveland Halo Lite HL 5 wood for £149 from Affordable Golf.
Got the 7 wood same spec recently and it’s a working very well for me so decided on the 5 wood as well.
