I bought today.....

Had a driver fitting at lunch, tries the TM QI 4D, the Callaway triple diamond, and the new Ping, while all their number were a significan jump from Titleist Tsi2, Found the Ping to dead off the face with 0 feedback, and the Callaway to hot off the face. The TM numbers were insane, club head speed jumped by 10mph, carry by 20 yards, and dispersion tighter.
So bought that and some new shows the Footjoy Hyperflex.

An expensive Lunch, but still cheaper than the Ritz

Was it the standard or Max model of the Qi4D you went for?

I bought 2 pairs of golf shoes.

I like the Ecco Biom C4 so much that I bought my 3rd pair, one I play in now, one saved for the summer and this 3rd pair is the boa version, so I'm looking forward to wearing them out on the course.
And the 2nd pair was some deadstock Victory Tour 2's, as that will be my spiked pair, and I don't like the Victory tour 3 and 4, so I went on a hunt for the VT2's and scored a lovely pair of the og black and white ones.

Took a punt on the 20% off on the GC4C website. Irons and driver traded in for Titleist T250/150 combo set and a TaylorMade Q10 driver.
Here's hoping they're not being re-traded back in later in the summer! :) :)

Not worth its own thread but its an I didn't buy today... Callaway 'Major' balls with flowers on them that's supposed to make us think of Augusta. Wonder what The Open ones will have on them

They are just copying Taylormade, who have done this for a while with the TP5 balls. Even Titleist have got in on the action.

TM have also been doing special edition TP5's for the Open and US Open, as well as multiple other themes. I found a TP5 with ghosts on it last week.

G430 SFT 5 wood from Golfbidder. Condition is only 6/10 but it has a Tensei Orange shaft in it, which caught my interest because I used to have a Tensei Orange in my old G410 driver. I have documented elsewhere how I've been struggling with the G430 Max 7 wood, so it's time to try something else. Both clubs can be set to 20° so not a great deal of difference going from a 7W to a 5W really.

I wasn't really getting on with my Ping G430 Max driver, no matter what I did, I just couldn't hit it at all, and when I did, I was losing a lot of yards compared to my stealth, and as my 3 wood goes 20-30 yards further and straighter with less effort, I sold it..

The only Taylormade shaft I had was a cut-down to 3 wood Ventus blue 6 s, which I originally had with my stealth. I tried to extend it, but didn't use expoy, i used cement glue, lol.. and ruined it. I could take the extender out and expoy it again i guess, but right now it's all droopy at the top of the grip. Oh well,

So, just in case I want to hit a driver again one day, I bought one of the cheapest compatible shafts on GC4C for my stealth, which was a Speeder Evolution Tour Spec X flex. All other shafts I like are super expensive these days, and there wasnt much of a choice south of £100 on GC4C

If your ever in that position again check out Nordica golf and gambola golf .. they have shafts that are sub £100 with grips and adapters fitted. The shafts are usually old designs like Aldila NV or grafalloy pro launch, UST V5 gold

Thanks, I'll give them a go next time I have an itch for a new driver shaft. cgc4c is like a graveyard for TM shafts, there is about 5 Taylormade stiff shafts for sale on their website right now, the majority £100+, i remember a few years ago it was a goldmine with picking a shaft up for a great price. Tensei blue and orange or a kai'li white for less than £100
