I bought today.....

In the UK last week I had the chance to pop into a golf clubs 4 cash, first visit. Could’ve stayed for ages looking at the older gear
Ended up with a mizuno shirt for 14.99, a dozen rb max balls and then went a bit mad and bought my wife new package set of macgregor ZT1’s, which are an upgrade on her starter set she’s now growing out of

Def wont be my last visit there
Will they be expensive to ship back, the clubs? Will you send them separately or as part of your luggage allowance?

Just interested in the mechanics, not the actual costs.

I'll be checking the Warrington site this week. Not been before so looking forward to it.

You prob know that golf clubs used to be ‘free’ with several airlines, not so much nowadays but adding them as sporting goods isn’t too bad (again airline dependant)
As a destination, golf gear is probably the most popular item we see added to hold luggage since so may come here for that kind of holiday

I’ve several options but it’ll probably come down to either BA or emirates and what prices are available when booking flights. Def wouldn’t bring them in boxed/new or shipped separately as likely to get taxed

Chasing Callaway drivers on the bay. Lost two on Saturday, very annoyed, then found one buy it now and accepting offers. Chucked in a silly offer and got accepted. Will I be able to cope with dropping from a 12 degree to 9? The stats said yes, but in the real world, fingers crossed.

This company, fairly local to me, used to use the same carrier as my work. I was surprised how many he sells, I could see them in the van, but then what do I know :ROFLMAO:. You are the first person I've come across that will actually use one. Please post a review at some point, I'm intrigued to hear if they really do perform as they say.
It arrived today, will give a review once we get a break in the weather

You should try Auctionstealer if you want something on EBay (it’s free). Just put in your max bid then it will bid on your behalf at the last minute. I’ve won lots of auctions that way and it’s stress free - you don’t get into a last minute bidding war!

My wife buys allsorts from Temu, but the last item is a month overdue and she is about to issue a claim. At least with Amazon, returns are fairly easy.

I can't imagine they'll be the highest quality, but they serve a purpose - I will report back.

So, both arrived today. Good quality, easy 15 minute assembly and fit perfectly.

Plenty of space for two large bags (not three - I tried), shoes, balls, odds and sods and the club 'holster' to the side is really useful for alignment sticks, brollies etc.

If anyone is thinking of one, these are the ones I got.

Mine arrived today too
But
I've put off assembling mine yet
As that would mean tidying the garage too🫣
Another day.....

3 titleist adapters for some shaft investigations. I have 3 shafts that have ping and callaway adapters on that the pro said he could remove .. seemed like a economical solution

Went for a wedge fitting today and really enjoyed it.

It was freezing! Started on the range, with full shots with my current wedges, then new options before moving onto the chipping and bunker area. Really thorough.

Ended up with a weird set up (from an OCD perspective) of 3 Vokey SM11 in tour chrome. Marked 52, 54, 60,

Current is 50 (marked 48), 54 and 60. I hoped for a 58, but just so decent with my 60, no change there.

Replaced my set gap wedge (50) for a 52 bent to 51, 2 degree flat and 0.5" longer (as irons), a 54 bent to 55, 1 degree flat, 0.25" longer and a 60 standard loft, 0.25" longer. The bounce was the area we really focussed on and across the three have a real variety now.

All matched to my iron shafts.

My current two wedges will sit in my spare iron set and the set gap wedge he feels I will benefit swapping back to during winter.

It was a Titleist specific fitting, but for £25, (reduced off the final price), was a cracking session.

I just bought a Taylormade Spider Tour X putter. It's my first new putter in over twenty years. It replaces an Odyssey White Hot Tour. It's a big change as I used "Anser" type putters for decades. My first round with it today was pretty good. I had thirty three putts with only one three putt. I made a twenty footer and three outside of eight feet.
I think once I get used to it my numbers will improve. At my age (76) I have to putt well to score because I can barely hit it out of my shadow off the tee. Cheers!
