I bought today.....

What spec did you end up with?

Did they say when they expect the order to be ready for?

Same effectively as my DF3.

Black head, same sight line, same Press Pistol grip, same white Accra shaft, custom engraving and LE head cover.

My DF3 is heavy and this is standard, but with matched swing weight.

Tried insert/no insert and ended up no insert, as per DF3.

No delivery date confirmed, but by end March worst case.

Took delivery of an Odyssey AI-One Cruiser Jailbird putter during the week. Had my old putter in the bag for the best part of twelve years and, whilst I putted pretty well with it in general, it was starting to look tired and I decided to treat myself.

The new one had its first outing yesterday and I have to say my distance control with it from outside of 15-20 feet was spot on. Got a really nice balance and feel to it.

Had this in the bag a month and can say fairly confidently that it’s been a game changer.

Just 26 putts today, missed nothing from 3-4 feet and in, and holed out really well again from 10-12 feet, which is making a significant difference to my scoring.

And from distance I’m leaving virtually everything stone dead.

Couldn’t be happier with it.

It isn't the equipment makes me a good putter, I just am. I am also a compulsive club buyer.

And if you read my comments, it is for a second bag to save me taking clubs on a plane 20 times a year (y)

Or, I could ask my colleagues mates aunty's brother?
Why would you get fitted twice for two putters from the same brand? Why not just buy another one? If it comes back with different results, doesn't that make a bit of a mockery of the process?

Fitting is just another term for trying and I went, at no cost to me, other than the fuel to get there, experimented with all other styles and dialed in what I wanted. There's no mockery involved, apart from the naysayers on the internet.

I could have ordered exactly the same club I already had, but where's the fun in that?

Length and lie angle remain unchanged, as do the grip, shaft and alignment marks, but wanted to try a new head and after going through them all, I ended up with the Oz.1.

Which works best for me - 100% the first fitted putter, but it's marginal and it''s my money and wanted a change. If anything, it confirmed how accurate the first fitting was.

Plus, attending gets me free personalisation, an extra headcover and as much as you can eat and drink. Did I mention it was free?

I thought that, but I guess it's not like there is only one true putter for each of us. Doubtless a few different heads in similar specs would do the job.

Fair enough, if you can tell that one is better than the other, that makes sense. If you'd turned round and said the second one was better, I'd have been concerned!

Dozen 2025 Pro V1 to try. Been using the Wilson Staff Model X which I enjoy. Just feel they seem to climb in the air which I don't need. They say the Pro V1 is a lower trajectory ball so fancied giving it a go.

Picked up the TSR3 that I ordered from GC4C this afternoon. Traded in an old 3w and a couple of sets of shafts that I had lying around that pretty much offset the cost.

Nice condition, stiff Tensei Blue 55 shaft, but that will get swapped out shortly for the Fujikura Pro 60 that I prefer. See how it performs tomorrow.

I think you will enjoy it. It was a very popular model , I found yesterday even in the wind my drives were going to where I started them and staying on that line. Unfortunately that line was badly picked and was just right of the 1 cut .. found it every time tho

Bought a Mizuno JPX923 Tour demo 7 iron. Only £29 on eBay, hardly used. Just wanted to see if I can hit it and what distance and spin I get in the sim. Cheap way to try the Tours. A few cheap sets around as they have been discontinued. Slightly tempted. 🤔

Traded in my stealth 2 plus for a ping g430 max. Got fit for the Taylormade last January when I was playing golf 5 days a week, Swing Speed was 113. X stiff hzardus smoke red. But didn’t play for 7 months due to injury and just couldn’t move the ball. Distance dropped off massively, couldn’t find a fairway. Just awful.

Ping got my carry back up to around 255, and couldn’t miss a fairway.
