Hi all,

I am looking into taking our touring party to Kingston on Hull this May. We will be playing three courses (coming in by ferry). Likely staying on the coast around Flamborough or similar (depending on where we play Friday and Saturday)

So far I have the following scoped out. Any advice is welcome:

Thursday (arriving in the a.m.): Brough GC or Hull GC
Friday: Scarborough South or Flamborough
Saturdag: Hornsea or ??

We are all around 18-20 hcp, enjoy historic, scenic courses, max Greefee UKP 100 for 18 holes. Unless other courses are much cheaper, then we can splash out on one of them.

Thanks in advance!

The Bridlington Festival of Golf takes place at the beginning of May, a mix of competitions across the week on the 3 Bridlington course, it's fantastic value.

Of the course you mentioned:

Thursday (arriving in the a.m.): Brough GC or Hull GC - Hessle is better than both.
Friday: Scarborough South or Flamborough - Flamborough is my personal favourite, great views on the cliff tops. Scarborough North Cliff, South Cliff and Filey are all worth a visit.
Saturday: Hornsea or ?? - Hornsea is ok, but nothing special.

I would plan on playing a couple of the cheaper options and then treating yourselves to a round at Ganton.

I agree totally with the above. ( perhaps the Brid courses are not stand out courses) I am a local.

If you want quirky but historical, you should consider Beverley. It’s not my favourite, but it is unusual.

Suggest Hessle over Brough & Hull.
Scarborough South Cliff over Filey (just) & Scarborough North Cliff

Agree with "and then treating yourselves to a round at Ganton" or Beverly as a novelty.
