At our last today, 380 yards,downhill,downwind. I spanked one down the middle. My brother followed suit. Got down the fairway and one was sitting 6 feet away,one 12 feet away (mine). Anyway we both missed our eagle putts. In the clubhouse the guy playing in front of us asked who hit the first one because it was sitting 4 foot away when the second drive bounded on and knocked it 8 feet further on! No way we could have seen it from the tee. Just about summed up my luck for the day

Like many forumers I've had similar experiences but mine was 420yards and I hit a three wood because it was into the wind. Joke btw

I only hit a 7 iron though! You can hit our last with a 3 iron if its dry and downwind with a lucky bounce. It's about 100foot drop from tee to green.great last hole. Into the wind its a different story though

This game was never designed to be fair (as Andy808 points out on another thread).
Couple of weeks ago in a medal, par 3 3rd with a raised green (steep bank to the left and then trees). Mate hits first and puts his ball straight in the trees, you could actually hear the ball bouncing around.
I hit my shot and it's heading for the green but just catches the top of the bank and bounces, what looks like, a foot or so in to the trees.
We get there and my mate's ball is sitting in a clearing, sitting up and with a clear line of sight to the pin which he almost nails.
We get to my ball and it's behind a tree trunk with another tree less than a foot behind it meaning I have no shot to the green and no backswing either. End up having to punch it deeper in to the rough to be able to hack it back out.
