Howell in joint lead

One of the nicest Guys around. I'll be cheering him on.
It's always good to see form returning to a player after a number of years in the wilderness.

So, a GM columnist in a three way tie at top spot in the Irish open. Will he end his win drought since 2006?

I wish him all the best for tomorrow - like his column!
Agree totaly just wondering if jezz or any of the other guys have howlers number or email to pass on the forumers best wishes for a good round.. before he heads out

It would be nice if the forums best wishes could be passed across before the final round.

Would be nice to see a win as seems like a thoroughly decent bloke

Had a little flutter on him before the event, at 260-1. Now laid most of it off for a guaranteed profit. Nice one Howell!

What's the secret of a guaranteed profit in gambling, pray share

Use a betting exchange, where you can both bet to win and lay to lose. If you bet on someone and their odds then drop, you can lay them to lose for he same amount (or any amount really) to give a guaranteed profit. For example, had £2 on Howell to win pre-tournie at 260-1, so would win £520 if he wins, but lose £2 if he doesnt win. When he was at 7.2 lay odds, layed £60 on him to lose. Upshot is if Howell wins I win £120, if Howell doesnt win, I win £60. Depends whether one is after a big win, or a smaller sure profit. Given the vagaries of golf I would prefer the guaranteed profit regardless who wins! I believe this is reffered to as trading by the betting officianados.

And it is gambling, its a gamble, this only works if the players one picks go down in odds. If they go up then you are out of it as first they wont win as their odds are up as they are scoring badly, and secondly, you wont get any odds worth laying them.

Have sent Howeller a text wishing him best of luck from all the readers and staff...
Fingers crossed!
