Ok......Here's the Dilemma!
My old team mates are in a small bit of bother....3 games left and 4 points needed to stay clear of relegation....
The 3 teams left to play are all going for the league.....
I got a phone call last night asking if id turn up on sunday that they were struggling big time for a strong squad...Both centre backs are injured and thats my position.
1 player suspended.
4 injured and 1 suspect for the morning...That brings the squad down to 12.
I havent kicked a ball competitevly since november as most will know on here that i retired then as i snapped my achilles tendon 12 months ago to the day tomorrow.
Iv recovered well but the fitness is down a little.....
I know if i play i will give it my all iv never given anything less than 100% but this club had really looked after me when i was out of work financially and i would like to repay the favour.........
And now for the million dollar question.......

How do i break it to H.I.D  :D

Tell the truth. Explain the situation. She probably won't like it but you'll be in less trouble than telling porkies.

Be prepared for some time in the dog house.

Well in fairness to her shes never once questioned my motives for anything........But all ill be waiting for if i come home with an injury is "I told you so"

I guess two questions really. Are you 100% sure the injury will stand up and can you still do the job for them.

My main concern would be aggravating the old injury especially if you've not trained or played at all since. As you said the club had to help you out financially and would you want to risk that again. If you're happy and think you can help and that you are confident the leg will be ok then I'd go for it.

Ya homer i think the leg may stand up to the test im not sure the enging will yet....Im a naturally fit guy but even im honest in saying the engine could be under a small bit of pressure....
