Hey,

I think I have done something a little bit stupid and I need your help, I have bought a job lot of golf shafts but it turns out they have adapters on the end (see picture).

I have steel iron shafts, graphite iron shafts and graphite wood shafts. Please let me know!

Kind regards,

Jack

I agree with Greg, steel shaft in a vice with a shaft grip protector/clamp, heat gun or buy a little blow torch and then pull off. With graphite heat gun only and you need shaft extractor if you want the shaft not to be compromised.

just out curiosity what are you doing with the adaptors after removing? If you have any of the Nike iron adaptors I'm willing to buy from you, if your not going to keep them that is?

Sure. I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest, I bought some shafts in bulk to sell on but when they arrived they had those adapters on the end. For me to be able to sell them on eBay I should really remove the adapters? Is that right? I'm a bit lost. All the shafts are in great condition, I just don't know how to sell them.

I have over 100 shafts, all have adapters on. I'm pretty sure there are some Nikes. Happy to send free of charge if the shipping fees aren't extortionate. Thanks for helping!

Just sell the graphite ones with shaft adaptors on. I have purchased plenty of shafts with adaptors fitted, my club builder only charges £15 to remove an old adaptor and install a new one so it hasn't really bothered me in the past

As detailed in your other thread, if they are iron shafts then removing the adaptor would render the shaft pretty useless it will be the wrong size to use in a normal iron.

Shafts for woods would be better sold with the adaptor still on them though as they can be used straight into a compatible head.
