How tight should macwet golf gloves be?

I measured my hand before ordering and measured a 8 which is m/l and there is a very small amount of extra fabric at the end on a couple of the fingers.

Do they shrink when wet? Or should they be very tight from the get go and not even have a little extra material anywhere?

(My normal golf gloves are far too big but have never got round to sorting those yet)

Mine were always a little on the tight side and they split down the sides. Doesn’t stop me wearing them though and I’ve probably had them 4 years. It’s not like you put them on to keep dry. Couldn’t play in the rain without them now.

Mine were a little tight and split on the left glove but they are still functional and an absolute asset

Thanks everyone think I will keep the size I have rather than getting too tight and then splitting.
