Mrs sev112 said to me tonight "I nearly bought you a Xmas present today, but when I saw the prices I changed my mind"
Or words to that effect

me : "what was that then?"

Mrs sev112 : "Ticket for Ritchie Blackmore live in Birmingham next June, except the cheapest ticket was > £200"

What!!!!???? I had a look on the web and the tickets go from £200 to >£1000 and that doesn't include hospitality.

For that price I'd expect a White Fender Strat as part of the deal

Must be getting old

Jeez!!! I think I paid about a fiver to see Rainbow at the Glasgow Apollo

Is Rocky Blackhead still alive then?

That is serious dosh, especially when you consider that a weekend camping ticket for The Reading Festival is £213

Squeeze were on in one of the O2 venues and the tickets would have been about £60 with all the additions. I like them as a band and have seen them a few times but I'm beginning to think that my days of live gigs are coming to an end with the profiteering of the likes of Ticketmaster

My lad wanted tickets for the stone roses, he missed out initially then got some when they released more dates.
He was telling me that Ticketmaster have set up a sister company and Ticketmaster have sold thousands of tickets to said company who have marked the prices up massively. Said there was a massive backlash on social media.

It could just be a gimmick to stop the ticket touts from snapping them up early. I'm sure not even they would buy the tickets at that price. What could they mark them up to to sell them?
