Bobmac is dead right. You'll go a lot further with a coach who is genuinely interested in improving you rather than a guy looking to make a quick buck!

I remember the first pro teacher i had when i first started playing, i little Scottish fellow name of Neil MacDonald, the most enthuasiastic person in golf i've ever met and it rubbed off i'm glad to say, he made teaching and practice a joy, maybe why i enjoy practising so much now.

Agree with ^. My coach must be a bargain! I get half an hour lessons for £8 lol but he's really good - even plays some tournaments with ernie els and the like.

I pay £40 to see Chris Ryan at the Belfry's academy. He's got me down 2 shots in 6 lessons so it can't be going too badly.

We have virtually re-built many aspects of my swing since my return to the game and he's always available by email or phone for any queries. Also, any other academy coach will help out if you contact them for a one off bit of advice.
