To all those who don't get many birdies - I'm sorry, this thread will have little interest for you.
For those who do get some - what's the most birdies you've had in a round?
I've had 5 in a medal round before - allied to 5 bogeys and a double. See consistency again!!

How many have you had?

6 in a nine hole comp (had 28 points and had 5 in a row) and have had 5/6 in a few rounds but typically included a double bogey or two to being me back down a peg.
I rarely have a "normal" round ever, it always includes good and bad and the minority is average. Id love a period of consistency though.

I had 3 a couple of weeks ago when I shot 85, Birdied all 3 par 3's. 1 was a 50ft putt, another of 20 ft downhill with a big break right to left and the other I was within 4ft from the tee.
I was really chuffed with that, I've probably had 3 birdies before but never in such spectacular fashion.
Shame about all the double bogeys

Timely thread!
Managed 4 yesterday. Shaved the edge tantalisingly close for 2 possible ones at 15 and 18 also.
Never made 5. I've done 2 and an eagle....
I don't think I even average 1.5 a round.
Last time I made 4 was back in May and thoroughly undeserved.

Couldn't say with any certainty about my old course at Wimbledon but I would guess maybe four or five at least. The most I've had at Ascot is four in one round with two consecutively

I even took a pic with my phone back when I did it, I won the comp by around 3 or 4 shots that day iirc and until today was the last thing I won (that card was around march time)

I can manage to get myself into all sorts of situations but days like those are what keep me coming back week after week.

Ive had six in one round before but two doubles and triple didnt help but managed the rest of the round with pars.
Played yesturday and hit four birdies, four pars and the rest crap so i know if i limit my mistakes then im going for a good score.

Best I have ever had is 6. Three of them in a row and a tidy overall round of 69 (playing off 7). Not what I would call my best ever round, though the golf was ok to good, there was a lot of luck involved with 3 of them, as there was with some of the pars(few completely cocked shots ending up winners).

I have often had 3 in around that often get cancelled out by bogey or double bogey though. i prefer to get a birdie and hang onto its benefit till the end of the round.

Most ever in a round was 8, also had 7 bogies and 3 pars, finished 1 under par. Was probably one of the most enjoyable rounds I ever played as it was like a 4 hour rollercoaster ride.

Brendy 6 in 9 holes is awsome, wild horses wouldn't stop me from playing the back 9!!!.... that said I did play with a guy once who was 8 under through 9 holes and he had to leave to catch a flight

Had 6 with an eagle thrown in too (67gr, par72). Had 6 earlier this year in a betterball comp where we threw in 48 pts. I usually throw in a few birdies and a few bogies , but I have a VERY steady partner who plays par golf so we gel very nicely in comps.

I usually throw in 2/3 birdies in a round , occasionally make 4 and very raely 5 , once a year I'll throw 6 in somewhere

My most is 4 in a round.
I managed 2 yesterday after only hitting 6 GIR.
Poor play but decent birdie conversion stats.
