How many putts have you taken?

Playing in a competition at Bearwood Lakes with Paul Nash a couple of years ago, hit a nice drive up 6 and a cracking wedge in to about 10 feet. Had a slightly downhill right to left putt and the greens were like lightning.
Hit what I thought was the perfectly weighted putt about 2 or 3 inches outside the cup. It held it's line and just kept going and going. Ended up about six feet past. I then dollied my next on up and missed the tiddler that it left. That will be a 6 for nothing then.
How my playing partner laughed.

4 putts a few time lately, but last year did throw in a 5 putt, was one the green for two (short par 5) but was 35+ yards away, first putt to within 10 ft, second lipped out and rolled away down the slope to about 20 ft, third was lovely but missed to the right but only 2 inches away, fourth was an air shot :mmm: fifth was a tap in with red face and walked to next tee with laughter coming from all around.

Golfers in the North East maybe aware of the 8th at Sharpley - home of 4 putt. On more than one occasion I've had a first putt inside 15 feet and a 2nd putt of 40 feet...... perhaps why a 280y par 4 is SI 1!!

Having played there I can believe that!

Had one of my several four putts last week. Tried to tap in from the other side of the hole and moved it an inch. Mind you the head had gone and so had the will

With the clocks changing, holing out from 3-6 feet with the new Ping Anser 2 is high on my list of to do's this week. Distance wise I'm fine but just need to make those crucial distance one feel more comfy. I had it working well with the Odyssey #9 but I don't want to go back to it if I don't have to
