So you are a 4 ball, 2 scores to count... not a medal etc and are first group out onto an empty course..... how long would your round roughly take?

Would depend on who the other 3 were, but as were playing that format tomorrow Id expect somewhere around 3 1/2 hours for that group. Expect we'll be an hour more than that tomorrow though!

4 hours ish. You still have 4 golfers teeing off every hole and playing every approach more or less.

With the standard of golfers I play with 4 to 4 1/4 hrs.

Played with a guy last week and he was stupid quick but he has his own buggy due to dodgy knees. It was a struggle to keep up and somewhat rushed

If the other 3 played at my pace, i would say just under 3 hours, maybe even 2.5. My mate and I can go a 2 ball in under 2 hours holing out everything.

4 hours. Longish walks between some tees and a decent length to the course means that you would struggle to get underneath that with a 4 ball. I suspect a two ball could manage under the same circumstances in around 3.5hrs.

4-ball progressive alliance tomorrow with shotgun start so I'd put my dosh on around 4:20

First out & I'd shave approx 30 mins off that time estimate

It should be 3 to 3.5 hours I'd say, but can depend on how competitive the group is, ie, do we have chances on each hole for birdies, in which case making sure of the pars and then letting the birdie chances have a go afterwards as such all 4 players holing out regularly. Or are we having plenty of holes where at least one player is picking up.

Wow, quite surprised at some of the responses tbh. We play 4 ball medals every Saturday and with an empty course I'd be surprised to take more than 3.5 hours. In the format described (not much point in provisionals, no lengthy searches etc) probably a fair bit less.

But all we have is a bunch of unqualified times

Some of these courses could be 1,500 yards different lengths with maybe the same kind of difference in green to tee distances to add to that
