How long for your comps to be published?

So its wednesday late afternoon/early evening and our competition results from the weekend still haven't been published on Howdidido.

Surely it cant be that hard to publish the results, especially as we electronically enter our scores on the day.

How long does it normally take for your comp results to go "live"?

I played my first comp on Sunday morning which I finished at around 1.30.

I got a text notification from HDID at 5.30pm Sunday evening to tell me I came 10th out of 49.

Ours go live 'mostly' on the same evening. We have a committee member come in after the comp just to close it.

Ours get notified at the club and on facebook but they might only update the database thingy every 2 weeks.

I don't think we subcribe to HDID anymore and have our own system which is on our website the same day.

We had to wait 2 weeks for some results about a month ago due to people leaving, holidays and the lack of anyone with a brain cell to operate the computer.....

Normally ours are up within a day or 2.

Sometimes they go up that day, usually a day or two, has been as long as a week though. Have to be honest its a real bugbear of mine, especially when they dont process the midweek comp before the weekend one starts!

Earlier in the year it took a long time, sometimes people were being told as they turned up on a Saturday morning the result and their cut/raise from the previous Sunday or Saturday. That's all changed since a change of handicap sec and results and handicaps are generally up the night of the event.

Don't your Midweek comps run Mon-Fri though? Makes it tough to get it all done for a 8am tee-off Sat morning when the last card for the midweek comp may not be in till late in the day on Friday.........

Yes they do, but even when the weekend comp is on a Sunday they are often not done either. Very few play both mid week and weekend comps so prob only me that it bothers lol

It varies but our Sunday comp was done and dusted by 10am Monday

It's not an automatic function for the results to be downloaded to How Did I do. There is a window that pops up and asks the user what they want to do, if the user doesn't click the right one then the results do not get published on HDID.

The basic setup of a competition can also have a bearing on the result being published. If whoever sets up the competition doesn't click a certain radio button during setup then it is not published.

So, if the results are available in your club, but not on HDID then someone hasn't set it to publish the results.

If it's done properly then the reults are published within seconds of the competition being closed and the correct option being chosen. You then get a message telling you that all have been published. It's then easy to check online before you even close Club2000 at the end of the process.

Ours are almost always up on the night of the competition. Must've been someone doing it for the first time a couple of weeks ago though as we had comp on the Sunday and mine and a few others' handicaps managed to go up 0.1 even though we hadn't even played.

Our competitions always run over Friday and Saturday due to demand and simply not enough slots on one day, the results are on the board on sunday and online by Monday lunch usually. Handicap adjustments online On the GUI golfnet website usually on Monday morning.

We use Masterscoreboard but ours are usually up within a few hours of finishing.

At best ours are up in two or three days, at worst (and this is probably 50% of the time) they don't get published at all!

Scores show live on a TV leaderboard the bar as people enter scores as they come off the course.

Obviously cards have to be verified though. Weekend comps are published on HDID on Monday - don't know quite when as I never turn on the pc till later in the evening.
