How do you mark your ball?

With a pen. It varies depending on my mood and who I'm playing with. On one round I did put my postcode on one after I had lost 7 balls OOB.

I did find one once with a black swastika on it . And I do seem to remember it was a decent quality ball, think it was a Z Star. But surprisingly enough I left it where it was.

Extend the prov line to cover 1/2 the ball and write ROBO in the blank space in the opposite side.

It's fair enough to not mark your ball because its a different make to your playing partners, but, every single time your ball doesn't stay in your view, even 1yard into the rough, there is the chance that you are playing the wrong ball, how do you prove that?

I've cleverly turned the Callaway 'V' symbol into an 'M' (my first initial) and have blue dots either side of the model name. I like to try to mark it so that i can be identified as mine no matter how it is lying

I just cross out the words Dunlop or Pinnacle using a sharpie and write Titleist Pro V1 on it. It fools no one......

I put football-style pentagons all over it in a home-made imitation of a Truvis ball (rip-off merchants!).

A ball I found once was marked "LOST BY MARK" on it, which made me laugh.

multiple dots above and to the side all the makers names and model number, colour dependant on what sharpie appears out of the bag on the first tee

I always mark mine with 4 dots under the logo. I do write PROVISIONAL in big letters all over the balls I use as provisionals as it reminds me to declare my intention to hit one. I've always got one marked up in my bag.

Delb I would insist you put a mark on your ball if I was playing against you like I do to anyone I play a match against

Realy ? on what grounds ? if you insisted something to me like that id ask you to point out in the rules wher i had to ..

Just for the record i do mark mine & believe everyone should , but if someone insisted i had to do something im clearly not required to do , id tell you , no.. sorry if that sounds rude but no ruder than being bullied into marking my ball if i didnt want to ..
