I think you'll need a hosting site for your pictures first such as Photobucket.
You then copy the jpg image and upload it onto the post. Hopefully some of the regular piccy posters will give you more detailed info.
thecraw, register with photo bucket and upload any pictures you want to show then once it is loaded you will see the picture with FOUR options below it.
ONLY EVER CUT AND PASTE THE BOTTOM ONE INTO YOUR FORUM POST AND HEY PRESTO YOU HAVE A PHOTY.
You don't have to register with anyone if you only want to steal photographs from the net like google images. just copy and paste the web address and add
That is brilliant Atticus-finch, H.I.D is just looking at me in amazement as I spend an hour + each night on the forum speaking to people I am yet to meet. That picture sums things up excelently.
if you want to post your own pics then you will need an account with photobucket or flickr or similar. If you do post your own pics please reduce the size first otherwise we all need widescreen to view them.
the reason you need to post your pics is so that the image has an address, which will look like this http://www.ncnanotechnology.com/public/_assets/GolfShaftWithoutNano.jpg. This you can obtain by right clicking on the posted (or any web) image and opening Properties. (this one will not display the image because I haven't done the next steps)
once you have the image address select 'image' in the box below the message edit window. this will either open an additional window or, if you have pop-ups blocked, your pc will flash the header and tell you that the site is trying to get access - once you click to allow this, reselect 'image' to get the window to open.
paste the address in the window - before you Ok it, make sure the address starts http:// and ends .jpg
The address (not the image) will appear in the message you are editing, it will be enclosed by

When you select Continue the image will appear in your preview screen, if it doesn't go back to the edit screen and change
to and Repeat.
If it still doesn't appear try again from getting the image address.
cheers viscount - will be giving this a go soon. Most of my pics are on Picasa as I use their editing package. (also linked to Google and Blogger - pretty handy).
