The thing is with the greenkeepers at our course is they dont seem to give a damn what the course is like
Our head greenkeeper has decided that all flags shall be at the front of the green except for club champs and Opens. When asked why not have 6 front, 6 middle and 6 back as you'd expect his reply was "nobody bothers to repair pitchmarks". AAAhhh -what an attitude, even if a lot of players dont(they should) it's not his call to address it in this way.
Many do seem to get ideas above their station and that no-one dare challenge anything they do. Personally I'd sack him for that attitude.
On another course I play one greenkeeper changed flag positions midday between morning and afternoon matches and the whole comp was declared void - great thinking Mr greenkeeper!

Play off 26.8 shot a 90, my best so far. My driving seems to be improving, I need to work on my mid irons and putting but my game around the green was good just need to be more confident.

I play at Roundhay, Leeds municipal and membership is £100 a year with £40 joining fee, not to bad to enter comps and get a cert for my handicap. It would be far better to have a membership of £200 and get 50% off green fees for the year, but meh what can you do.
