It’ll be our fifth trip there. The old town is really nice and is, as you say, a great base for visiting Ronda. We’ve not done Gibraltar yet - maybe this year.
It’s just a really nice place for a few relaxing days.

oddly enough, the kid who won his dad has just posted pictures and videos of him playing and receiving the plate he won. Flippin eck, if I swung like that I would be paralysed. The flexibility on these kids is immense

How did you get on in Mexico?
Thinking about it for 3 weeks time, excellent flight times and pretty reasonable price wise.
Just back from 4 days in Barcelona with the boys, great time and memories made, was 25 years since we did our first holiday to Magaluf

We’ve got a trip booked to San Diego then on to Palm Springsin November. Flights and a few days hotel accommodation booked so far but we can cancel at no charge.
Given what’s going on in the US at the moment I am inclined to bin it, really not sure.

We loved Mexico.
Stayed at the Riu Tequila in playa del carmen,would definitely recommend it.
We had a night out in cancun,was good for a night out but glad we weren’t stopping there.

Ryder Cup Winner
It was nice, 34* most days and the once a day shower was quite welcomed. We stayed in playa car which is pretty good as you can venture to 5th avenue for a cheap taxi of $10 or a 30min walk.
It’s our second time there, just check USA public holidays as you can get random bursts of entitled yanks as we have seen on both visits.

The misses clearly has the holiday bug, Crete is booked for October but what she doesn’t know is Barcelona or Florence is being booked for new year. If anyone has suggestions on Barca or Florence it would be great.
Defo used the passport this year.

We did the neon party in tequila, was crazy. Stayed at Riu palace (opposite) this visit and did palace riviera Mia two years back which is just past the little precinct

We're looking at Mexico for our 50's in 2 years time. Never been long haul but just started looking. Looking at TRS Yukatan, Riviera Maya. I'm really not sure if I'll like it but my wife would love to just chill, enjoy the restaurants, maybe go to the beach but essentially do not a lot for 7-10 days!

After saying this wouldn't be a year of huge spending we're currently looking at
- Switzerland at the end of the month - tickets for the women's euros semis and final in Geneva, Zurich and Basel
- A stag do in Prague, landing late the night before H4H, apologies to anyone in my group!
- Canada for most of September, my oldest mate moved out to Vancouver island 18 months ago so going to see him. Getting a trip to Toronto and the rockies in as well "while we're there"!
- Hopefully Madrid for the Commanders at the Bernabeu, if we can get tickets!

Dont know about New Year specifically, but for Florence, I'd aim to avoid any Italian public holidays. We went without realising it was the 1st of May PH and the crowds were horrendous.
