Friends coming round to ours for nibbles and games 
Off to a lovely country pub near Ascot. They lay on a marvellous buffet, then a music quiz and then a disco into the new year. Got some good friends down there so nice to spend it with them. The optimist wants to play on the 1st, the realist reckons getting up by midday would be a major accomplishment on past experiences
A crawl around the village then back to ours for nibbles and cocoa, well maybe not cocoa

Round to the local micro pub until it closes at 9.30, then off to the bar owners house for a party with live music and a rifle through his massive vinyl collection. Think we left at 3.30 am last year and it was still going strong.

though we won;t be going out or partying in way way I do enjoy watching the BBC Alba Hogmany programme (Cèilidh na Bliadhn' Ùire) and listening to a nice bit of gaelic being spoken and some decent dance tunes being played.
