Hip hip hooray - been to the range!!

Good to hear you're back in action, albeit slowly does it!

When I was coming back from abdominal surgery I went out with a mate and just took a putter. Went round for 6 holes, and like you, felt pretty tired.
The following week took a 7 iron as well and swung easy, went round 14 holes. Tired again but didn't look back after, although tiring for the first few full 18 hole rounds.

Maybe you could try something similar, but take it easy. :)

Chris.

Well done, hope all continues to go well.

I went back to the range yesterday after winter kicked in and me breaking my ankle slightly caused me to sit out for a few weeks. Was great to get back on the tee! Just going to ease myself back into it over the next few months ready for March/April

Gently does it Dave and I hope all goes well for you. Welcome to the forum by the the way

Thanks to all of you for your kind words, you don't know how much it means to me

I had my 1st hip done 2 years ago and did similar to what you suggest and, I agree, it's the walk thats tiring but I hope to play within 2 weeks as I have a 4BBB league knockout coming up!

Glad all went well with the op and immediate recovery - it amazes me how soon people are up and around after such a major surgery. Best wishes for 2012.

Hi Chris
Good to see you out and about again

How did it feel the day after?

For my money, mid Jan is too early for 18 holes, if you bugger yourself up then you'll miss the start of the season.

Just keep it steady and work your way up to it

Only 195 with your 7 iron

Slacker :-)
