Help for Heroes Curry Night 2018

I know many of you are playing on Monday, but for those that aren’t, I’ll be in the Traf early afternoon sat on a stool at the bar and hopefully still upright by the time everyone starts to arrive for a drink before going for something to eat 🤔🍻🍻🍻🤪

I’m still at Frilford, been broken down since 7pm, RAC been and gone and failed, now awaiting recovery vehicle to take me home.

Mimosa is open booking once everyone had gathered at the Trafff.

At this rate I might not make it?

Not good news, hope things get sorted. No idea where Frilford is but sounds a fair slog from Aldershot!?

I've had to leave my van at Frilford Heath as the RAC couldn't get a recovery vehicle to bring it and me back until between 9am -12 noon tomorrow (today)

So they've paid for a taxi to bring me home (just back) after being stranded feezing for nearly 5 hours!

I won't know what I'm doing until I get the van back home as all my golf stuff is on it so I can't hire anything yet until I've got access to all my stuff!

Once it's back here I'll be in a better position to know what I can do and what I'm doing.

In the worse case scenario, The Traff (Trafalgar) is aware of a group of around 20 golfers coming and so won't run out of beer, then it's onto the Mimosa once we/you know most if not all on the list are in attendance. The Mimosa are aware of a group circa 20 arriving and have put a large table in the center for us to easily access the buffets as and when, as you can eat as much as you like.

Some of you were there last year so you know the drill.

I'll try and keep you all updated, I know most of you are playing at West Hill, but I doubt I'll be in a position to make any decisions until tomorrow (Monday) late afternoon once my van is back here, then get it all unloaded and get it to my mechanic and then either look at hiring a vehicle, or at worse, if time and options simply don't allow, throw the towel in and have to pull out of everything!

That’s a lovely offer, but I’ve only just woke up after getting back at 1am, but I’d be worrying all day about my van and wouldn’t be able to react or chase things in getting it sorted as the RAC were very poor last night in keeping me up dated. But thanks Nick, it was a lovely offer 👍

I’ve just spoke to Frilford who are going to recover my key that I hid for the recovery vehicle driver and keep it safe in the Pro shop, so that’s 1 worry less with all my clubs, trolley & clothes in.

When I know it’s on it’s way back with some idea of times etc, I’ll update.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Traff, and those that went onto the curry house.

I had a bit of a head start on most of you and slightly over endulged so was probably half-cut before some arrived, I’m getting some odd flashbacks of the night 😳🤪
