Been a lurker here for months and months but thought it would be time to actually start posting!

Only picked up a golf club for the first time last year at the age of 27 and started off with a block of lessons with a local pro. Only managed a few rounds last year so I didn't feel that I really get started.

All changed at the start of this year and I've been playing as much as HID allows Just a nomad at the moment but thinking of joining a local club so that I can get the dreaded handicap and also play more.

Why did I not start playing this wonderful but equally frustrating game sooner!

Hello! I'm in a similar camp - wish I'd started before last year just before I turned 32. A nomad myself but troubling the muni regularly (but only 9 holes at a time) I've taken 13 shots off my first card in the last couple of months so it's never too late to make a start.
