Just watched Toulouse give Harlequins a lesson. Top team in France versus the top team in England (as it stands in their respective national championships) and it is looking pretty ominous.

For my cash Toulouse looking like a great bet for the title?

Am I wrong?

Yes we were outplayed tonight by a very strong Toulouse outfit, but hats off to the boys, they didn't give in and kept on going to the final whistle looking for a bonus point. Don't forget, Quins are a very young side so will only benefit from the experience and get stronger the more Heineken Cup matches they play.

Toulouse will be there are thereabouts, but anything can happen in knock-out rugby. Leinster deservedly turned them over last year so you never know.

No doubt. Quins hung in really well. Robshaw and Easter played their hearts out. What scared me most was the players coming off the bench!!

Great game for the neutral - proper rugby. I love the HK as there is rarely a dull game. Toulouse do look a powerful side and will be semi finalists I think. Not sure whether this is a year to soon for Quins

Indeed - that's what happens when you have the cash and can assemble a squad that is capable of challenging for everything! We got a real lesson tonight from a class outfit, but if we keep on doing well in the Aviva and can then attract 2 or 3 big names to compliment the great young talent we have, then the future looks very bright for Quins.

Personally I think it is at least a year too soon for the Heineken Cup for Quins. What we need is probably another season seriously challenging for the Aviva before we can even think about geniunely contending for the Heineken Cup. Conor O'Shea is doing a fantastic jon though and I am sure he'll have us bouncing back from tonight and what should be another defeat over in Toulouse next week.

Two heart breaking defeats already for Gloucester...Probably means we won't be making the knockouts...again. :(

You are lucky that you live in an area that lives rugby. Leeds is more football orientated even though they are pretty ordinary at that. Yorkshire has an immense amateur rugby union set up (I am playing against Castleford later today) but somehow this doesn't translate into a passionate rugby hotbed.

as we only play proper rugby up north could someone please tell me why are so many points given for kicks is the idea not to score tries or am i missing the point.

By proper rugby I assume you mean league, that minority northern sport, like pigeon racing, shove hapenny, and counting whippets.

League is not rugby. If it was, more than two people would watch it.

Looking forward to Tigers v Clemont this afternoon. With Manu and Croft back to fitness I fancy our chances.

Bath must be hurting after taking Leinster so close. Missed opportunities all over the park. Leicester to win against Cleremont. Wouildn't mind Ulster and Leicester progressing out of that pool.

I am quite enjoying it.

Leicester are not my favourites since Neil back cheated against munster in the final a few years ago.

Bear a grudge? Me?

I was at Cardiff for that match.

We are not exactly popular with Northampton for Murphy taking out Foden last week.
