If so how beneficial did you find them.
I'm thinking of booking a lesson or two. My putting has probably never been better but I still think it needs a boost.

Did you gain anything from the lesson anything you wouldn't of been able to work out yourself.
Did you gain anything that helped with pace and judgement.

I've always thought that with putting it was just a case of regular practice makes perfect, and not changing your putter every month.

I play a moorland course and the greens are full of breaks and very tricky, it's not just about hitting them, its where you hit them.

I'm hoping a lesson might unlock a few secrets and give me the boost I need.

Also, can anyone recommend a good pro for a putting lesson in lancashire/ north Manchester.

Yes i had a lesson a few weeks ago,The changes that were made were my toes pointing inside a little more which quitened my knees and leading more with the back of my left hand (right handed). I was always a good reader of the green i just needed to become a better putter and i have noticed the difference the last few rounds i have played.

Yes I am currently having putting lessons. Cost me £24, it is a lesson for life. Go see the the Bobmac and get his V-easy, I would say it is actually the first golf training aid I have used that has actually had a major effect.

Have you shown it to Chris in the shop yet?
Don't let him borrow it though, you might not get it back

I'm a good putter too..
I'm not a great putter though.

Thanks for the replys folks, I'll take a look at the Veasy and Get the lesson booked tomorrow.

Haha, thought I'd provoke more reponse than that. I have had a putting lesson and was told to never to listen to anyone who told me to change my stroke. I firmly believe the rest is all in my head, I have to believe I'm a good putter to be a good putter

I had to take the bait.:D

I know where your coming from with the belief thing, You can't start doubting yourself on the greens if youve got any hope of putting a decent score together .
It's the 5 footers that doing me at the moment, I think I need to be more fearless, it's easier said than done though with the tricky greens where I play.

I don't need putting lessons, I'm already a good putter.

Volvo matchplay this time last week. 2nd green, 6th green, 13th green. Ring any bells?

To be fair you are one of the best holing outers from 2-4 feet I've seen when you are on form and play them with pace but sometimes you lack confidence and belief.

As for me I've had a putting lesson. It was a couple of years back but got me in a better address position and able to make a back and thorugh stroke. Great lesson and money well spent

Had one when I first started where I learnt to rock my shoulders. The bought a V-Easy to engrain the feeling. Read Putting out of your Mind a few times. Got an oversize grip fitted. Had a look at my set up with my teaching pro recently to look at set up, I was aiming straight but applying too much loft. Moved hands forward which helped. Had a green reading lesson part one. Struggled with pure strikes so had a GOTtheVIBE fitted and was given some drills. Changed my putter grip to a Superstroke Ultra Slim.Right now feeling like I'm putting pretty well but am back in the habit of doing 15-20mins practice every evening. That said I've not played a solo 18 holes for seven weeks so that will be the true litmus test...

Had a putting lesson just last Saturday. I don't actually think my putting is that bad, I read the greens pretty well and judge distance , but I seem to be a little off with my aim when I make the final stroke.

The main reason for the lesson was for the boy though, he's now camped out at the club for the school hols and wanted to get some drills for him to practice during his golf break....

Some interesting little games to play to make it fun and help improve.

I remember doing the same when I was on school holidays. Golf all day every day.
Did the pro who gave you the putting lesson use the V-Easy?
