Has anyone had putting lessons?

I've never had a lesson, but then I've never felt the need as I've always been a pretty good putter.

That being said I'm always looking to improve.

I got fitted in February this year for my putter, that definatley helped (Not the new putter, the fitting). Once I got used to it (feel and roll) my PPR began to drop.

I've recently become a convert to the V-Easy and this has helped me further. I'm consistantly on/or just under 30 PPR for the last (29,30,29,29). Once I groove the feelng hopefully be under 30 PPR as the norm'.

I'll probably get a lesson in the near future just to see if there's any further improvement to be had, which there likley is, but for now I'm content.

I have had a putting lesson, gave me the stance, a grip and an idea of how to do it. Not long after got the V-Easy and with practice everything within 4 feet was going it (bar the odd misread).

Getting back into golf this year has been helped by the V-Easy, once I improved my stance my putting improved too, holing out has become second nature now, hence the 4 birdies in one round recently at a local par 3 with a total score of +4 gross for 18 holes.

I love the V-Easy but I still think a lesson or two is needed to make sure your stance and alignment are not shoddy to start with. I would love to use Bob as my putting coach but he lives too far away :(

Yep had a lesson last month with are resident Pro. No instant improvement but now sinking anything around 3 foot and my long putting has improved massively.
Worth every penny.

I remember doing the same when I was on school holidays. Golf all day every day.
Did the pro who gave you the putting lesson use the V-Easy?

No he didn't Bob. The only utensils used were tee pegs and a mirror plate to check head position and the takeaway line. The problem for both me and the boy is mainly aim direction on long putts (miss a lot by an inch or two), not the stroke or distance.

Must have worked for the boy as he one the junior stableford yesterday.

I was toying with the idea of taking V-easy down and letting him have it, as you know I never really got on with it.
