Hard wearing gloves

I suffer the same poor lifespan from so called premium gloves, sometimes not even two rounds, even worn through one on a single range session (yes its my grip but why should I have to change my grip to suit the glove, that's ridiculous!)

adam6177 I've found the all-weather gloves (in particular Callaway's) give me 15-20 rounds with no major signs of wear

I wonder if my issue used to be pretending that I had shovel sized hands and the glove was too big....whereas in fact wearing a small bionic glove fitted correctly. My pro says my grip is fine.

I agree. I keep pushing my foot down too hard on the accelerator in my car and crashing into walls. I'm not going to change my driving technique to suit the car though, that's ridiculous.

Wear FJ cabrettasof gloves - each glove normally last a couple months

Yup you've nailed it Dan, that's exactly the same thing. I was going through 6 or 7 motors a year when all I really needed to do was stop texting while driving! :D

You do realise that gripping the club correctly has more of an effect on the swing than glove wear?

I am going to go out on limb and suggest not wearing a glove at all. I only put one on in the pishing rain. give it a go. What have you got to lose?

I would hazard a guess your swing would actually improve through better/more correct grip/grip pressure

That's probably true, which would also mean my 15-20 round lifespan from a hard wearing glove like the Callaway AW will increase even more, happy days

Second for the Callaways. Very hard wearing. I think it's the warbird I'm using, used for around a year if not more, 20 rounds or so? I've only just changed cos I got bored with it and fancied something nice and white....

I'm a sweaty bar steward unfortunately and would see my club 300+ yards down the fairway (just behind my ball)

Seriously AG have the Cally AW (spann) glove on special just now its worth a punt on one just to try it

Actually if I'm honest the high temp & humidity also play a part in destroying the 'standard' gloves in rapid time. They just ain't built for it (srixon Cabretta are the worst I've found)

Very random that you mention the Cally X span glove....that's what I've just ordered. I'll let you know how I get on.

First go see you pro, then your doctor. always in that order. Know your priorities. ;)

Fair enough lad, if that's the case, carry on gloving!

Non leather gloves may last longer than cabretta but I'd still advocate looking at the swing. Sounds like the club is slipping or moving in the swing to cause that amount of friction and wear per round.

i stopped using Footjoy Sci-Flex as they wore too quickly, and now use the Footjoy GTX. they last forever, and i love the feel!

Not exactly hardwearing G. Soft cabretta leather with IIRC a thickness of 0.5mm. If a "normal" (assuming synthetic) glove is wearing after 1 to 2 rounds then a Skintite has no chance.
Something definitely wrong there that not even a larger glove than needed would account for IMO.

Done me well pal.

I currently have 2 gloves in my bag, both Skintites'

I use one for course play and I use one for the range.

The one for the range has hit in excess of 2500 balls this year and is still in good order with only minimal marking on the lower right.

The one used on the course is of similar condition to the range glove, just a better colour :D

If you're hammering your gloves to the point they wear after a round and you're not to concerned about changing the issue causing it, then I'd suggest these:
