Morning all

Having had the obligatory £20 voucher for direct golf on a mag this month I'm going to treat myself to a few bits and pieces....one of which will be a glove.

For the last year I've been using bionic gloves - 3 to be precise as "normal" gloves would only last me 1 or maybe 2 rounds before I'd wear through them. The bionic gloves will last me probably 14 or 15 rounds before they need replacing.

What else is there out there that is hard wearing? I've just seen these http://www.direct-golf.co.uk/golf_gloves/hirzl/hybrid_golf_glove_golf_gloves/p17985.aspx which look interesting.

Any thoughts?

Adam

Crikey wearing through a glove in a single round is an issue with your grip rather than the glove.

That's useful thanks, that knowledge will be invaluable when buying my new glove.

Well good in your search, but a 30 second fix would save your issue of glove wear.

.... I've got some great anti-shank irons, and driver with huge offset to cure a slice too if your interested ;)

Did I miss the bit that answered my question?

It's more a case of gloves shouldn't be wearing through after a round or two...so could point to an issue with your grip. Still, as you are being extremely pig-headed, I assume you know about Bionic gloves and competition use? http://www.randa.org/en/Equipment/Equipment-Permitted-for-Medical-Reasons.aspx

I don't think any gloves are particularly hard wearing...hell, even your magical Bionic gloves are only lasting 14-15 rounds!

Yes I've recently found out about the bionic gloves - quite a well kept bit of information.

I know you wont like this answer but you really should sort out your grip, the club must be moving around in your swing which will only assist in loss of accuracy.

I get the srixon cabrettas at 18.99 for 3. The last me a good while and I play twice a week and practice 3 times

Do you pig wrestle after a round of golf? That is some wear and tear. I suspect we will all struggle to offer advice on this as few will get through gloves at this rate. I tend to wear gloves at the heel of the palm, probably a grip issue to be fair, but even then I will still only use two per year. The glove that lasted the longest for me was a Callaway, Warbird I think. Whether they will be tough enough for you I can't confirm but that one worked well for me.

I suffer the same poor lifespan from so called premium gloves, sometimes not even two rounds, even worn through one on a single range session (yes its my grip but why should I have to change my grip to suit the glove, that's ridiculous!)

adam6177 I've found the all-weather gloves (in particular Callaway's) give me 15-20 rounds with no major signs of wear
