I turned my long cargos into short cargos this morning with a pair of scissors as the knees had gone. - does that count?
Crikey! I've not heard this since I was a bairn. Mum used to take us off into town the week before Whit, and we'd get fully kitted out.

Honest i thought i was stuck in time. About 1940’s. When me mum starts talking about new clothes day i thought shes been on the whisky. Then me auntie cracks up. “ oh ah you had to have new clothes to go on the marchâ€. Eh. Prodestants, catholics mat hing on differant dates and the Piles the following week 😳ðŸ˜

I find it hard to buy new clothes now.
I go out with the intention of getting troosers, shirts etc but generally come home with nothing.
It drives my missus mad, I will be patient and when I get exactly what I want for a fair price I pounce.
We have a one in one out rule re clothes so you have to be careful and not clog up the drawers with things you half like.
