Tried my new Mizzy's out today - oh joy of joys!!

Long straight iron shots, so much feel, sooooo good!

Love them to bits already.

Now I've just got to keep them looking good. I know a lot of you guys hate iron headcovers but I'm going to use them to try and keep the heads looking special as long as possible.

So - iron headcovers.

Zip-up ones or slide-on ones?
Which are best?

Slide on, castle bay, absolutely brilliant. Just don't do what I did and forget to put them back on and lose three!

What I do now which is actually quite handy is put them on alternate irons missing out the ones I hit most regularly (which unsurprisingly are the ones I lost). Reduces the times you have to take them on and off.

So use my covers for 3I, 5I, 7I, 9I and SW which I put before the Gap. My irons still look lovely.

Glad to hear it Imurg. Can't have the Ping boys having all the new club fun!!

Hopefully next week for me.

Also glad you asked about the headcover thing. My clubs take a right battering in the bag when on the GoKart and I to was concerned about the cosmetic damage to the heads. I just didn't want to ask about them after the recent iron headcover thread and the opinions expressed.

Hey Hapless I say yah boo sucks to those who turn their nose up at headcovers. I like all my kit to look as new as possible and without headcovers my irons would be battered by now.

Imurg may your pristine irons give you many weeks of joy glistening in your bag off the course and firing you to low single figures on it!!!

If you had brought quality irons like PING you would know that they do not mark when rattling about in your bag so no need to buy any covers. :D

Welcome to the mizzy club.
I use neoprene covers and folks can't believe they are 2 yrs old

I fing the best iron covers are neoprene with velcro fastenings. Stops bag clatter damage and the annoying rattling of clubs as you walk along.

Happy days Imurg :D :D
Iv got covers on my Wilson Staff FG's as well i couldnt care less what people think they cost me enough and they will hopefully see me into singles which could be a while ....
So anything that helps to keep them from clattering each other is a bonus despite the frowns that the covers might get.
