Going 4 down with 6 to play, in the swindle 4bbb, and then finishing with 5 pars and a Birdie on the last to halve the game.

Hitting some monster drives (longest I have hit for years). Really got through a few today. Back to a full swing, rather than the half swing I have had recently.

Holing some putts on massacred hollow timed greens.

Not losing a ball, all the way round.

And to top it all, arsenal winning 5 3 at the bridge.

Happy days. Well, til tomorrow.

Glad to hear you had a good day as well Murph. Started today by topping my tee shot into the pond in front of our first tree. Proceeded to put my next into trees right - chipped out 50 yds short of green having platyed 4 and proceeded to hole the pitch.

Only had 13 pts front nine but came back in with 23 to take the money. You wouldn't have thought it was the same player.

Going out in the swindle with no idea of where my swing was going and coming back with 34 points including FIVE consecutive one one putt greens. Swing was rubbish but found a way to make a score

Going out in a bounce game front nine and only scoring 13 points then coming back in 1 over gross (including a double bogie) to record a more respectable 34

...being back on the course. Not hit a ball for two weeks which is the longest time out I've had since January so it was just nice to get back on the the course. It was a bit rusty but 32 points wasn't a bad return with a treble and 3 x 3 putts.

Happiness is turning up to the Volvo Regional finals and going to the car to get the clubs out to discover that you have no driver, no 3 wood and no 5 wood !!! Shitting ones pants for 10 mins thinking where the hell are they, they've not been out the boot since I was down there the tuesday before for a practice round. Going to the pro shop and asking the stupid question "have they been handed in here" to doscover that they were there in the back, nice and cosy out of the rain :-) That'll teach one to leave them standing agains the car and driving away for someone to find them in the car park. Glad that this sport we all love and play is played by gentlemen who do the right thing. Had to leave the pro with some dosh to buy the guy a drink or two.....
