A little advice please all....

I handed 3 cards in at my local club over 5 weeks ago and still don't have a handicap.

I have spoken to the pro and he said he would speak to the handicap secretary but that was over a week ago and nothing yet.

I have also emailed the secretary but he has failed to answer my emails, the 2nd one I sent was a little more direct you might say.

Is there anything I can do further without the contact details of the Handicap Secretary.

I realise they are volunteers but feel they are taking the pi$$ after over 5 weeks...

Im not sure there is alot more you can do. I got mine within a few days but my buddy had to wait three weeks and then I had to email and tell them that they had given his handicap to me as well as my own. I guess the error is what slowed it all down.

Fundy how long did it take you to get yours in the end?

anyway I feel your frustration.

Thats a poor way to be treat mate,it just not good enough.Out of curiosity what were your scores? I am a beginner and have not put in for a hcap yet main reason being the only club I am doing well with is the driver.I am hitting on average around 100 a round ( a best 96 before the wet weather!)I will prob wait until 'next season' to try for hcap as the winter greens will be here soon

Gross scores adjusted for handicap purposes (No more than Double Bogey) 87 (No Adjustments) 90 (Adjusted from gross 92) 90 (Adjusted from Gross 94)

I'm going to wait until the end of tomorrow as I have asked for a response to ther second email, if nothing I'm going to go in on Tuesday and demand some action. Failing that I'm going to move to another club in January and make sure everyone who knows me knows why!

mine was sorted inside a week but I asked specifically for it to be done for that date as I was playing in an away comp. Friend of mine is 2 weeks and waiting still, doesnt seem to be the highest of priorities in most clubs which I find disappointing in that its less than a 5 minute job.

Does your club use Howdidido or similar?

It might be on there already.

Asking for a handicap certificate because you're in a comp somewhere or playing a course that requires one sounds like a good idea.

Region - They do and I've checked that.

Have had an email back from Sec this morning who has been on holiday saying he will pass my email to Handicap Sec so we might see something this week....
