handicap non member

:mmm:h/cap but dont want to be a member any suggestions how i can do this

Most muni courses will run some sort of low commitment membership. Ours is £60 per year, around 40 comps per year, with green fees reduced to £24. It's ideal for obtaining and maintaining a valid hc

hello and welcome, I seem to remember a scheme in one of the mags about having a recognized h/cap even if not in a club as long as you were through this online 'club'
sorry, no other details which isnt much help, but someone else will be along in a min

There are a few orgs that will allow you to maintain handicaps. Some can even be EGU recognised. Googl 'golf handicap' to check.

Some (only a few) courses require handicap certificates, but that's often to check that you are a member of a club.

I've not used this service but if you give it a go and tell me how it goes I may sign up lol

I joined up on returning to the game after a break efficient service send your cards in signed etc and handicap and credit type card back along with brochure lusting recognised courses with in the week.
Any supplementary cards summited were then used to maintain handicap my only problem was it's not 'official' so therefore was unable to play any open comps etc, so back to being a member it is.

why would you need to have a h/cap if your not a member of a club they are only of use in comps. if you play for fun against your mates no need to know exactly or if it is to gain access to private clubs that need a h/cap cert to play just down load one from the web like the 4 scallys who tried to play my course last year and was obvious on the first that non of them had played before and just fancied a knock.

not everyones a scally mate dont tar everyone with the same brush i have been a mamber at woolaton park g.c. nottingham but going round the same track just not for me, however i still get invites to play decent courses this is why i need a handicap
