i recently joined a new club. they have asked me to provide them with a handicap certificate. does any one know how to get one? i have an official GUI handicap of 16

Where did the official handicap come from ? if you gained it at a previous course then that course will be able to provide it, if you won it in a raffle then your on to plums

You can print one from the GUI website if yo have your GUI number. Either register or just log in.
Whether they accept it or not is another matter. My new club want it on headed paper from the old place

did you down load it from the web??.if you had an official h/c then you should be able to get it from your previous club,write to the sec. and ask him to forward it to you or go onto the clubs web site and print it off and how long has it been since you left as it might not be current.
