Don't get over-excited just yet. Golf England website shows your SSS as 68 against a par of 69. If CSS doesn't change from SSS you will be 3 better than handcap and lose 1.2. It would be nice if CSS went up to 71 and you would be chopped 2.4. Well played that man - off 28 at last.
 
Good work mate, it's always nice to get an individual win under your belt. The thing I have found is you get cut and spend the next few rounds going up, then another cut them another few rounds of +0.1..

Keep up the practicing and lessons and you will get down low.
 
it may go up Rosecott as only I scored under h/c, 1 bloke had 36 everyone else less (a few in the high 20's so way off buffer)

we shall see :)

oh, for the record I also carried, I always seem to play better when I ditch the trolley, not sure why but I shall be carrying permanently from hence forth :thup:

Big congratulations, was in exactly the same situation earlier this year (stuck on 28 for 12 months before I finally hit 40 in a comp). Now you've done it once, the handicap will start going.

For tonight though, hope you're bouncing around and have opened up a bottle of something? The phrase I use is: "struttin' around like a dog with two d1cks!"
 
I did drive home with a great big smile on my face, bounded through the front door chanting 'championeeeeeeeeeeeee, championeeeeeeee' only to find the kids were all out lol.

When they got in and I told them they just grunted and said 'thats good dad'. pfffft

Well done mate. It takes a lot of effort to break that coefficient of friction. But once broken, it's much easier to keep it moving. I had a little cut today. Down to 11. Poor timing though as I've got the Volvo Matchplay this week.

As when we played, all you gotta do is carefully try and contribute on a couple/three holes and voila! I'd say it would be better that you tee'd off 1st on every hole as it will help Gary know that you are at least in/out of a hole before he tees off.
 
sounds about right for me, I nearly win the lottery every week but every number is always one out :)

balls, only get 1 shot on the 1st and 10th now and always play them pants :one:
