Halfway huts and carbs

It depends on the halfway hut. I could stay at Wentworth's for ages and eat and eat. Others are terrible. Out of interest is there a halfway hut at Woburn or West Hill. Pretty sure it's no but can't remember

West Hill has a very nice one, although it is actually by the 12th green. Lovely bacon rolls. Not so good if you are starting on the 13th when it is a shotgun start.

Richart I've always admired you and Rick you know. Would love to tee off with you guys on the 4th at H4H day

We don't have a halfway hut and to be honest there are times when there is very little damage pork could do to my card so it would bring welcome relief.

Roots I do wonder if there is a golf club restaurant in the country that is brave enough to serve lamb shank ;)

This thread has got me thinking that maybe a poultry based foodstuff mid round could subliminally lead to a string of birdies... halfway Nandos anyone?

only come across one in scotland so far - must be a foreign thing.

just think though, you could do a roaring trade in 'peh an' chups' up here.

the worst thing you can do after 9 when on a reasonable score is stop and add it up. it's not necessarily knowing what you're on that is the problem, it's the fact you put a full stop after 9 and start again on 10 - potentially disasterous if your body subconciously tells itself it's break time. i usually have a good idea what i'm on after 9, but prefer to leave the mathematics to the end of the round.
