Had a 10 on my card this morning!

Just to clarify a few things

1. I asked Delc a question - that's all nothing else , a topical question in the current climate of golf and something that I know is part of the R & A push on pace of play and indeed pace of play something that was highlighted recently by GM - I didn't accuse Delc of anything

2. I then responded to Chrisd point about - wanting to play a full round regardless which is it seems what players want to do and I just highlighted the above points mainly because slow play and people being held up spoiled a number of people's enjoyment at a recent forum.

3. My posts were in generic reply to what Chrisd was saying as opposed to what Delc said.

Fair enough, and to clarify I could have posted this on any number of threads in recent weeks, this one was just the straw that broke.

I specifically didn't call anyone out, I'm not for getting personal or confrontational, but I called out behaviours I witness/infer that IMO detract greatly from the spirit in the forum. If you read the original post as aimed at you then you're wrong. But everyone, including you, should seriously ask themselves if you're ever guilty (and how regularly) of those actions. If never, then crack on.

Lastly, the comments following mine show that I am far from the only thinking these things.

As for scoring a 10 Delc....I was playing in a match one time and on a par 5 a 10 beat my 11......less said about the quality of the match the better

To clarify for you Phil.

I, and I know of several others, no longer use the forum as much because of you draining the life out of pretty much every thread.

Resist the urge.

Got to agree with TheDiablo and well said. It's getting to the point where you got to think before you post on here.
I think that golf has to start at the top, the Pro's. If they can't get round under 4 hours then why are the certain few going on about us amateurs who are no where near as good as they are.

Just for for the record Delc, the 16th par 4 at Turnberry, I hit an 11. :smirk:

Personally can't see what all the fuss is about.

Double figures on at least one hole is a common occurrence for some of us. In fact is I don't get that kind of score on quite a few holes at Trump I'm be very surprised.
