i imagine thats would make you a shredding Heavy metaler then? prob easier to play and keep in tune than a 64 jag/ or 64 chet atkins:thup:

if you look at his collection in the film, i think there is a LPB jag/jazzmaster among them.

was it the one he says don't look at that one?

That's where I learnt my trade MANY moons ago and I've still got a serious soft spot for all that despite tastes changing greatly. Tuning is fun but very stable if the floating trem is maintained - can't imagine doing a few bends on an old Bigsby trem without breaking something. Would like to try one day though!

That's about right!! The body is covered in material and then clearcoated. An odd effect but one I like. If I could grow my hair again I would but those strides sound achievable

heavy gauge strings on the Jaguar and the Gretsch are a must. can get away with lighter on the Jazzmaster, that might be to do with the longer scale

My mate always understrung his Strat using very light 8 gauge strings {i think} Using 2 first strings as both 1st and 2nd. On his 3rd he used a light 8 guage 2nd string.

more than likely with a strat, but need at least 10's on a Jaguar currently have 11's), short scale, dodgy bridge that fender fitted. my old Jag i had it shimmed, so there was more neck pull. thinking about getting done with the current one which is one of the FSR reissues. no where up here has anyone good enough to do it properly though.

There's a few in Glasgow but i don't know how good they are. But look up John Birch guitars , down south somewhere :thup:

might see if the guy that did the old one is still going, though he maybe long dead, as that was 25 years ago and he was an older guy back then.
