Blimey, I wouldn't fancy dribbling petrol around when re-gripping, the vapour flows like water and the slightest spark or whatever and you'll literally have the hottest clubs in town....which will go nicely with your burned-out shed/workshop/house! I tried regripping my own clubs for the first time recently and found it quite easy. I used white spirit which gave ample time for adjustment and they set firmly in a few hours.

White spirit is perfectly fine to use. I only used petrol when I was working at the golf club (use to do it outside the workshop but was only doing what I had been shown).

Use to really enjoy doing grips and might get some online and have a play with some of my old clubs (might encourage me to use them again)
