Played Archerfield today, Fidre course. 1st of all the welcome and facilities etc at Archerfield are second to none.
Clubs taken off you on arrival at the car and waiting for you as you walk to the 1st tee.
Locker room where they clean and polish both your golf shoes and normal shoes, fresh fruit laid out for you to take on the course. Practice facilities....wow...decked out in little pyramids of prov1's, driving range, chipping, bunkers, putting. Clubs cleaned after your round. The course was superb, immaculate condition and we really knocked it off with the weather, my head and face are currently burning!
However I had an absolute shocker
Driving was guff, irons went left and right, short game was ridiculous and putting poor. 2 pars the whole round, I was absolutely rotten.
If I had played like that at my own course I would be raging tonight but had a great day....wouldn't like to have paid for it though!!!
