Is it right that men should be allowed to use their GPS devices in monthly medals and club competitions.. but not women?

I find this decision particularly ludicrous and can't fathom a reason for it. If you can shed some light on it that would be appreciated.

Does your club allow you to use your GPS in competitions?

regards...

who cares?apparently it's so they don't have anything futher to worry themselves about on the course....hair.nails,does my arse look big i this?what shall I make for the tee?Can I really make that 90yard carry etc etc. ;)

My missus insists on setting her watch and clock in the car at least 5 minutes fast so she "is not late".

On that basis, she would need a Sky Caddie specially calibrated to over-estimate the yardage by 10yds so she "was not short".

Ouch! did you NOT read my last thread? You can get slated for posting controversial stuff like that!! :D :D :D

Yes because it was rank rotten and not really called for. Who cares if they use them or not most at my club some cant hit it out of there shadow. PS am not being sexist :)

So NOT having a GPS would speed up play for women? :p

I must admit I like to know if I have 70y or 80y to the pin.... I feel it's integral to making a good shot and choosing which shot to play in the first place.

No when it's your 5th or 6th shot I bet you don't though! ;)

I think this post is being totally unfair to several of our lady members especially wackyracer (off 5 so she can't be doing too much wrong) and ALiB who is steady and would give most of the men on here a run for their money.

In answer to the question yes my club does allow them in competitions as a local rule so men and women can use them

I am offended by your insinuations that women cant handle technology !!!!!!!!!!!!

does it matter ? i think all GPS should be banned from the clubs because golf is about taking a chance not use gps !!!

Some fairly idiotic comments on here. Particularly dissapointing to see a mod joining in to be honest. The OP was a genuine question.
If I was a female forumer looking in I might take offence these kind of comments, even if they are said in gest. Hardly making the forum a welcoming place for new members is it?
tut tut etc
