After wondering why the bank balance was quickly depleted the last few day it turns out we have some Olympic tickets. Don't know what, don't know where and don't even know when, but I know we'll be going, at least once, to something.

Wish I'd applied for the ladies beach volleyball now!

Chris, if you got that much money to throw away you could have thrown some in my direction ;)

The Olympics will never be here again in my lifetime so I was desperate to see something. I put down for about £1200 of tickets and they have allocated tickets for £300 so it's not a huge amount given that HID and I dont smoke or drink (much) and hell, you can't take it with you!

Chris

£300 would have given you one reasonable seat for the ladies beach volleyball Chris. ;) Mind you it is not a sport you would want to take the wife to. ;)

I would have had to have 2 tickets. At my time of life I would have needed someone to carry my medication!

I can think of worse ways to pop your clogs. :D :D :D :D :D

I didn't get any. My balance (visa) is 8.16p which is the exact cost of my monthly bill to lovefilm.com.

I'm disappointed. I expected to get the equestrian event (I mean, come on?!"£?).

I also applied for Norwegian bikini Trampolining and got none.

:)

Womens beach volleyball is not that great, used to watch it occasionally at Manly beach in Sydney on my 'year out' over there. The burds that play are too physically fit, ie. they look like Paula Radcliffe - have no curves and no babylons......but at least they don't nip behind bushes for a tom tit which is a plus!

Only Olympic sport I'd want to see is track and field or at least the running part, the field events are dull as.

Good luck with getting a decent sport, I predict air pistol shooting! ;)

I have worked out that I have definitely either got athletics or cycling as the money taken adds exactly to what I asked for in those events

Well done on getting your tickets I hope you enjoy it. Me, well I'm sorry if I sound a little bit bitter but I wouldn't patronise the Olympics as I cannot see why everything has to be in London. Surely it was an opportunity to spread it around the country so everyone could see the Olympics. As it is in London then I'm not prepared to put a single penny in voluntarily as my local sports center has been closed by my local council.

I've had some money taken out for the Olympics too. It seems I have two tickets for something. Not sure what though as most things I went for were about the same price!

Didnt want the thing in the first place. But didnt have a choice over that. Didnt have a choice over having to contribute more as I live in London. And didnt have a choice whether I got tickets or not. I applied and got naff all.
But what really upset me is the 10 on my medal card this afternoon!
(un)like the Murphy's..........

URGGGHHHH!!!

I heard the ticket system as being the same as sending £100 to Tesco with a note saying "please send me some food"

I agree that it should be spread around a little more so everyone has a real chance to see something near them

Played with someone yesterday who went for 3k of tickets, and got about 60 quids worth. It is all a nonsense, and we should have let Paris have it.
