On our Par 3 second hole, 159 yards. Lovely 7 iron, 6 feet from the hole, rolled the putt in. Great feeling, been a year coming and have missed loads of birdie putts recently (albeit from further).

played rubbish the rest of the round , but who cares? :D

Well done, great feeling when you get the first of par, birdie, eagle etc.

Well done, plenty more to come from the sounds of it:thup:

Im still waiting for my first birdie on a proper green, apparently winter greens don't count and I've been playing for about a year. I have had plenty of opportunities lately but I seem to have become an expert in talking myself out of the put and even ended up bogeying one the other evening :(

It'll come mate don't worry, just gotta keep giving yourself the chances!

We're all prone to stuff like that as well! The last comp i played in I stiffed a shot in to our 16th to about 8 foot and left myself a birdie putt.
Ended up blazing it past and 3 putting :(

I eagled the next though so made up for it

Well done Rudebhoy. An eagle comes next, just a matter of time. Must get together for a game some time soon.

Think it will be a long time before my first eagle, barring total flukes!

My regular PP is away for most of August, so would definitely be up for a game then. Sooner is equally fine if it suits you better.

Strange how earlier this year is was bragging earlier this year when a flock of birdies ended up on my card.
Now though I think my flippin birdies have migrated.

oh ah well done me man.

Nice one rudeboy . Got my first birdie of the year yesterday, having missed a two foot put for one at the weekend :o

Nice feeling. now you have the taste for it go hunting for more.

Word of warning, doubles will make a mess of your card a lot quicker than the odd birdie will brighten it up. Know when to attack. ;)

Got my first competiton birdie the other week too. 413 yard Par 4. Got good distance from my drive, but a little right. Just caught the fairway though. For my second I hit a 7 iron. Arrow straight and pitched around 2 foot from the hole and rolled back to around 4 foot. I couldn't stop grinning when striding up the fairway!!! It looked like it was going to be really close, and I was expecting a tap in. As I got closer I could see that I still had work to do!! Luckily it was a slightly uphill, straight putt. Nice smooth stroke and in she popped.

I've always said that I would frame my first birdie and eagle ball. However, that completely slipped my mind on the next hole. Tee'd up the same ball and hooked the bugger into the rough. Couldn't find the damn thing!

Well done I'm looking for my first one too...I nearly had one on my first round on a par 3 landed 15 ft from the hole but missed by 3 ft so I had to settle with par
